Lumina Foundation Predictive Tool
Lumina Foundation works to increase the proportion of Americans with postsecondary credentials to 60% by 2025. This tool was developed to let policy makers explore how their state could achieve this goal by targeting different demographic groups. Even better it lets you explore how this goal might be achieved equitably.

A clean and clear data presentation allows easy comparison of current higher education attainment against the target needed to reach 65% attainment for all populations by 2025.
Attainment can be viewed at a national or state level and a number of scenarios can be explored among age groups, while the target year can be adjusted to better understand what it would take to accelerate the attainment goal.

tool overview
The tool allows you explore attainment goals along 3 key metrics, attainment by credential mix (left), enrollment percentage (middle), and attainment by credential mix (right). Visit The Predictive Tool to explore scenarios in the nation and your state.

To get a more detailed view user interaction highlights target percentages as well as totals for each year.

Concept Development
Early concept sketches exploring different ways the data could be presented. These sketches allowed me to think through a variety of presentations and better understand potential relationships within the data.
